| Mette Bødtcher was born in 1965. She received her training at the Royal Danish Theatre Ballet School. Mette Bødtcher became an apprentice with the Royal Danish Ballet in 1981 and was appointed a member of the corps de ballet in 1983. She was a soloist with the Hamburg Ballet between 1986 and 1990 and returned to the Royal Danish Ballet in 1991. In 2005, she was appointed as a character dancer. |
| Mette Bødtcher has performed a wide range of soloist parts at the Royal Danish Ballet, appearing in Bolero, as Calypso in The Odyssey, Ophelia in Hamlet, the title role in La Sylphide and as Mette and Hannah Glawari in The Merry Widow, Rosita in Far from Denmark and Death in Serait-ce-la Mort. She has furthermore appeared in Kindertotenlieder, Witness and The Triumph of Death. |
