Biography of Niels Balle

Niels was born in 1964 and trained at the Ballet School of the Royal Theatre.
Niels Balle became an apprentice in 1981 and in 1983 a dancer of the Royal Danish Ballet, where he has danced a large number of leading roles including James and Gurn in La Sylphide, Balletmaster in The Conservatory, Pas de Six in Napoli, Pas de Cinq in Abdallah, Mr. Mogens and Pas de Sept in A Folk Tale, Gremin in Onegin, Hilarion in Giselle, Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet, Pas de Six and prince in Sleeping Beauty, Pritsch in The Merry Widow, and solistroles including Agon, Serenade and Night Shadow.
Further Niels Balle teaches at the Ballet School of the Royal Theatre. In 2003 he was appointed Deputy Director- and in 2006 Headmaster of the Ballet School.
